Introduction

Age of Mars is a pioneering web3 gaming ecosystem, setting new standards in competitive gaming with AAA-quality titles developed on Unreal Engine 5.

The ecosystem features a diverse range of games, including the high-octane arcade racer Redline and the strategic city-builder Red Empire, alongside the next-generation shooter Red Chaos. Players are rewarded for their activity and engagement, enhancing the gaming experience.

Age of Mars combines cutting-edge technology with immersive gameplay, available on major platforms like Epic Games Store.

Lore

In 2060, after decades of research and development, humanity has successfully colonized Mars. The Martian colony became prosperous and self-sufficient thanks to advanced technology and perseverance. However, despite this, life on Mars was still tricky and dangerous, and humans continued to dream of making the planet more Earth-like.

The year 2125 arrived, and thanks to new terraforming technologies, it was possible to turn Mars into a habitable place. Scientists and engineers developed a project that involved changing Mars' atmosphere, creating oceans and a favorable climate, and growing plants. As the terraforming of Mars progressed, the colony's population grew, and the infrastructure became more complex. The number of technologies and devices powered by artificial intelligence and programmed to perform complex tasks also increased.

But in 2140, disaster struck. One AI responsible for managing terraforming made a mistake that led to catastrophic consequences. As a result of the explosion, part of the city was destroyed, there was a massive systems shutdown, and Mars was plunged into chaos.

The Eos region on Mars was one of the leading centers of colonization and terraforming. It was home to significant scientific and industrial complexes that used advanced technology to change the climate and create favorable conditions for life.

In the district's center was the largest city on Mars, where more than 10 million people lived. The megalopolis was built in futurism and was a true masterpiece of architecture, combining the traditions of the past and innovations of the future.

But one day, as a result of a manufactured catastrophe, the district "Eos" was utterly destroyed, and on its ruins appeared numerous gangs that began to organize battles for territories. In this area, you can often see shootouts, as well as battles with the use of specially protected vehicles laden with weapons.

Building a paradise on a new planet, the people of Eos could not believe the catastrophe. Many were desperate and could not survive except to take up arms and fight for resources. Cruelty and dependency plagued Mars. Each of the survivors understood that their stay on the deadly planet had no chance for a favorable outcome - each of them would die on Mars. During the time of terraforming, the humans had practically stopped needing resources; they couldn't get used to the barren red wastelands with no single instrument left to bring anything back—none except weapons.

The arms merchants had become the new kings of Eos.

Surviving in utter madness, people tried to band together, but the sense of fear of betrayal eroded them from within. It was not uncommon to see a hundred people killing each other in one neighborhood of formerly prosperous cities on an every-man-for-himself basis. Despite the complete and total absence of any possibility of returning to Earth, there was still hope. The mercenaries and thugs, who used to be scientists, realized that if they could gather the remaining resources from the small reserves that survived the catastrophe, life on Mars could be restored. Arms dealers, eager to get their hands on the last riches on the planet, also realized this. The world had descended into chaos.

Economy

The economic framework within the Age of Mars ecosystem is built around the Mars Metaverse Token (MMT), an innovative digital currency designed to facilitate a comprehensive and integrated economic model across the platform. This token is at the heart of our gaming ecosystem, acting as the primary transaction means, empowering players with genuine ownership and fostering a dynamic and self-sustaining economy that extends beyond mere gameplay into a broader metaverse experience.

The MMT token is engineered to support a multifaceted economy, encompassing everything from in-game purchases and asset trading to unlocking exclusive content to incentivizing player participation and contribution within the ecosystem. By leveraging blockchain technology, the MMT token ensures transparency, security, and efficiency in all transactions, providing a trustless environment where players and developers can interact confidently.

Our economic model is designed to be robust and scalable, supporting a wide range of activities that enrich the gaming experience. Players can earn MMT through gameplay achievements, participating in events, or contributing content and services within the ecosystem. This rewards engagement and encourages a vibrant community where contributions are recognized and valued.

We are committed to maintaining a balanced and sustainable economy, employing advanced algorithms and economic models to manage supply and demand, inflation, and other critical economic factors. This ensures long-term value for the MMT token and a stable financial environment for players and developers. In addition to serving as the backbone of our in-game economy, the MMT token is designed to facilitate cross-game interoperability within the Age of Mars ecosystem. This means that assets and currencies can be seamlessly transferred and utilized across different games, enhancing the sense of unity and continuity within the Age of Mars universe.

As we continue to expand our ecosystem with new games and features, the role of the MMT token will evolve to meet the growing needs of our community. Our commitment to innovation, quality, and community engagement positions the Age of Mars ecosystem as a pioneering force in the fusion of traditional gaming with the boundless possibilities of Web3 technology. Through the MMT token and our comprehensive economic model, we aim to create a gaming experience that is entertaining but also rewarding, sustainable, and inclusive.

Game mods

Gameplay

Red Chaos is an online third-person shooter focused on tactical multiplayer play. Various modes are available within the game, including player versus player (PvP) and cooperative co-op missions (PvE), where participants team up to complete various objectives.

In PvP modes, players form two teams, battling each other in various battle formats, from point captures and team fights to intense battles and assaults. Mastering tactical thinking, effective teamwork, and weapon proficiency are critical in PvP matches. In addition, choosing the right equipment and improving it also plays a vital role because it affects the final result.

In PvE missions, teams of players join forces to accomplish missions against computer opponents. Such missions include various objectives, from escorting cargo to defending strategically essential points. As missions progress, the difficulty level increases, providing players with more challenging situations that require skillful strategy and team coordination.

Achievements and passes

In Red Chaos, players are allowed to improve their character not only through participation in intense battles and in-game events. They will also have to utilize additional game elements that reflect their progress and achievements in virtual fighting on the surface of Mars.

These additional game elements can include a variety of factors ranging from visual icons, emblems, and cosmetic enhancements for characters to unique reward systems where players can reveal their progress in outstanding achievements, stats, or ranking tables.

Such elements represent players' success in the red planet battles and incentivize their desire to develop and improve their skills in the game. These additional elements allow players to fight fierce battles and demonstrate their achievements and unique style in the Red Chaos game universe.

  1. Achievements system:

  • Achievements will be granted to players for specific actions in the game (e.g., a certain number of kills or beating distinct modes).

  • Achievement rewards include unique merit badges and in-game currency.

  1. Seasonal battle passes:

  • Seasonal battle passes in Red Chaos are a unique system updated periodically every few months. They bring players new challenges and the opportunity to earn valuable rewards and unique items.

  • Passes offer a string of rewards, unlocking access to various items that players can unlock as they earn experience over the season. The more actively and successfully a player participates in in-game events and completes tasks, the more experience points they earn, unlocking new levels of passes and gaining access to more valuable rewards.

  • Season Passes create compelling content by incentivizing players to participate in various in-game events and quests to progress through pass levels and unlock unique rewards, cosmetic upgrades, exclusive equipment items, and more. This provides players additional goals and motivation to stay active throughout each season in Red Chaos.

Resources

The intricate resource management system forms the backbone of Red Empire, compelling players to strategize, plan, and interact within an economy that mirrors the complexities of real-world markets and sustainability challenges. This section delves into the two primary categories of resources within the game: Renewable (or Produced) Resources and Crypto Resources, each playing a pivotal role in the colony's development and the player's success.

Renewable (Produced) Resources

Renewable resources are essential for the day-to-day operations and growth of the player's Martian colony. These resources include food, water, energy, and materials necessary for construction and maintenance. Players can produce these resources within their colonies by building and upgrading specific structures, such as farms, water treatment facilities, solar power plants, and factories. Efficient management of these resources is crucial, as they directly affect the colony's productivity, inhabitant's well-being, and the player's ability to expand and enhance their city.

Players have the option to trade surplus resources with other players, fostering a dynamic and interactive marketplace. This system encourages a cooperative aspect among players, as trading can help stabilize resource availability across the broader game economy.

Crypto Resources

Crypto resources introduce an innovative layer to the game's economy, integrating the excitement and volatility of cryptocurrency markets into the gameplay. These resources, including various ores, minerals, and Martian ice, are mined from the depths of Mars and serve multiple purposes. Common crypto resources are vital for colony infrastructure and maintenance, while rare and valuable resources are highly sought after for export to Earth and other colonies, fetching premium prices in the game's market.

The extraction of crypto resources requires exploration of the Martian terrain, followed by the establishment of mining operations. Players must strategically decide where to allocate their mining efforts, considering the scarcity of resources and the cost of extraction. These decisions not only impact the player's resource stockpile but also influence the global market, as the introduction of new resources can shift supply and demand dynamics.

The quantity of crypto resources in a given area is finite, introducing an element of competition among players for the most valuable deposits. This scarcity, coupled with the need for infrastructure such as mining rigs and transportation networks, adds a layer of strategic depth to the game.

NFT Integration

Both renewable and crypto resources are intricately linked with the game's NFT ecosystem. Key infrastructure required for resource production and extraction can be owned as NFTs, offering players not only a sense of ownership but also the potential for investment growth. The trade of these NFT assets in the game's marketplace can reflect real-world economic principles, adding an additional layer of strategy to the gameplay.

Managing Resources

Effective resource management is key to progressing in Red Empire. Players must balance the immediate needs of their colony with long-term strategic goals. This includes deciding which resources to produce or mine, determining the optimal layout for resource-producing structures, and engaging in trade to offset shortages or capitalize on surpluses. Players also need to consider the maintenance and upgrade of their infrastructure, as technological advancements can increase efficiency and output.

Leveling

Leveling system structure

  1. Weapons/Equipment levels:

    • The weapon and equipment level system in Red Chaos presents a dynamic development path for players. Each item has several levels of upgrades, which are determined by a series of rigorous tests and research. This creates variety in the leveling options and allows players to research and develop items according to their preferences and play styles.

    • Upgrading weapons and equipment opens up access to improvements in various item characteristics such as damage, accuracy, rate of fire, movement speed, armor stats, and more. This makes item upgrades a fun and meaningful aspect of the game, as each upgrade gives a weapon or equipment new functionality or improves on current ones.

    • At each pumping level, the player can purchase and install a module specifically designed to enhance specific properties of a weapon or equipment. These modules help supplement or modify the characteristics of the items, allowing players to customize their equipment according to their preferences and battle tactics.

  2. Exp points:

    • Players earn experience points by using specific weapons or equipment in matches. The amount of experience depends on the effectiveness of the items, such as the number of kills or the accuracy of hits. This encourages players to maximize the use of each piece of their equipment to gain more experience and advance in the level system.

    • Each level has unique challenges to master different play styles with specific weapons or equipment. These challenges diversify the gameplay, enrich the player's experience, and promote the development of versatile skills and strategies in combat.

  3. Tasks difference:

    • Each level of progression in Red Chaos is accompanied by a unique list of missions designed to diversify and enrich the gameplay. These missions are a variety of challenges designed to expand the player's skills and immerse them in different styles of play with other weapons and equipment.

    • For example, one such mission might be "Kill 30 enemies at long range". This mission challenges players to master and utilize weapons most effective at long distances. Such tasks not only contribute to gaining experience and pumping items but also push the player to learn new strategies and tactics in combat.

Other challenges may encourage using specific equipment in certain situations, such as "Survive 10 minutes using only a knife." This can be a challenge for the player, forcing them to change their usual play style and try something new, which brings an extra level of variety and excitement to the gameplay.

    PvE

Crater is a survival mode where players team up to fend off continuous waves of enemies. The players aim to survive as long as possible by fighting off increasingly difficult waves of enemies. In the beginning, enemies were relatively easy targets to take down, but with each new wave, they became more robust, better armed, and used more complex tactics. Players require strategic planning and close teamwork to allocate resources such as ammunition and healing effectively.

An essential element of the mode is the ability to adapt to different types of enemies and conditions that can change throughout the game. For example, enemies with armor may appear that require a unique approach or snipers that create the need to change positioning.

The mode aims to survive as long as possible, increasing the team score with each reflected wave. The mode ends when all team members are killed. It is a test of endurance and teamwork that also allows players to improve their skills and strategies in combat.
