# Mechanics

The game mechanics of Red Empire are designed to allow players a high degree of freedom in choosing their paths and activities, promoting a unique development route that differs from others. This means the game does not impose specific directions; rather, players decide where to invest their time and resources. For example:

* **Industrial Development**: Players can focus on developing industry to produce and sell resources to other players.
* **Crypto Resource Mining**: Concentrate on mining crypto resources for profit.
* **Research and Science**: Delve into research and science, building factories to manufacture and sell advanced mechanisms.
* **Real Estate Expansion**: Invest in expanding the number of buildings by acquiring territories, or earn money through mergers to save on land usage.
* **Space Tourism**: Instead of factories, build infrastructure comprising hotels and entertainment centers to attract tourists.
* **Mars for Film Industry**: Develop Mars as a venue for the film industry, leveraging its unique environment for cinematic productions.
* **Auction Play**: Engage in auction activities, exploring and reselling territories for profit.
* **Logistical Networks**: Create a logistical network to serve neighboring territories, enhancing efficiency and connectivity.
* **High Society Lifestyle**: Lead an almost high-society lifestyle among elite auctioneers, engaging in intrigues and influencing resource prices through strategic persuasion.
* **Jack of All Trades**: Attempt to have a hand in everything, albeit a little. This approach is also viable within the game's flexible mechanics.

Red Empire offers a sandbox environment where players' choices directly influence their success and the dynamic game world. The diversity of scenarios ensures that each player's experience is unique, based on their strategies, priorities, and interactions within the game universe.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://age-of-mars-1.gitbook.io/age-of-mars-docs/aom-red-empire/gameplay/mechanics.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
